friends advised me that immigration issues will ease up
so i took it
hopefully i'm all done.

I was mailed on 03/23 thru DHL. Is it normal. I was thinking they will approve it in 5-15 days?

Hi all,
Thanks for your time...please help.

My I-140 Denied couple of months back and I Appealed (I-290B) this decission with all the evidences to prove my exp & employer's ability to pay.
On June 11, 2009 I got the email from USCIS saying my I140 was approved On June 11, 2009.

But, on June 10, 2009 (previous day) USCIS denied my I485 as well as my wife�s I485. Please let me know, how to reopen both of these�

Thanks jsb..In that case, I am changing jobs even without working for my GC sponsorer. I heard that it could potentially lead to fraud case.are you sure we can do this or do u know somebody who has done this.

GC sponsorship is always for a future job. Until your GC approval, if you are working for the sponsoring employer, you are there as a guest worker (on H1B, L1 etc.). It will be fraud if it is established that sponsoring employer did not really intend to employ you, and you did not really intend to work for them as a permanent employee, upon getting your GC.

On July 29 , 2005 you got it approved. What will be EAD 2 's start date? 30 July , 2005 or Jan10, 2006?
Approval date - Jul 29 2005 will be start date for EAD.

AFAIK they dont know unless USCIS issues an RFE for tax returns. What was her status before she filed her 485?
Also why are you concerned whether they know or not?

Before that she was on H-4, I am still on H-1B

I am also in the same scenario. Filing I-140 and I-485 concurrently. My company's immigration attorney said that while filing for I-140 and I-485 concurrently, we can have the I-140 done in premium processing. And that is how they are filing for me now
